Having been totally at a loss as to where to start with my AOL's, I am on a roll today! I have started with two suggested titles and listed a couple of bullet points for each one and I am now going to try to draft my first one in full! Not 100% certain how it will pan out but planning on using Gibbs ( 1998) reflective circle to help me through as I have found this to be the most helpful for me to plan. How is everyone else doing? I keep checking Blogs and cant really find anything yet!

Hey Kym, good luck with your AOL's. Sorry, im delaying in answering, i have some troubles with the net, but let me tell you how im doing. i wrote blog about it, so if you are fancy to read more, be free to go on my blog. but, shortly i want to share, my head is in a kind of turmoil, and i try to be cool as much i can. I started reading handbooks and all the time questioning things. Now, im in the process of fleshing out the AOLs and trying to go deeper into this thing.so, im on my way to write an essay about my practice, experiences. hopefully this will go well:)
ReplyDeleteHi Kym, I felt exactly the same in Module 1 and was so confused between the two pieces of work and how to differentiate between the two! I wrote a blog about it then and seemed to help a few people. The AOLs are all about you and once you can determine what they are, then they will steer you throughout the whole programme and help you determine what your inquiry should be. I hope that helps...check out my blog on the mystery of AOLs

ReplyDeleteHi Kym,
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of writing my AOL's too. I was constantly questioning myself as all I used to start with was the handbooks. One day I just decided to start and describe my experiences and started writing. My one on one tutorial really helped so get onto your supervisor for guidance. I was actually doing everything right, I was just constantly unsure of myself. At the end it's our experiences we're talking about so everyone's approach will be different :) Good luck!
Thanks Lena, I am reassured that its not just me that feels a bit like I'm out on a limb. Anyway, cracking on now and hoping to make some sense of it all!
DeleteHi Kym - It sounds like you are having a bit of a breakthrough which is great. We all felt really lost in module one, so you are not alone. If it helps all the blog address are listing down the right hand-side of your module page. In blogger you can add addresses to your reading list page (in settings - edit, manage blog, add address) this way you will be notified when peers blog and it makes it a little easier to respond and feel like a conversation. As well as being inspired by other peoples' ideas - hope this helps a bit but message me through my blog or Skype if you are struggling. Hope your drafts are going well!
